The Jog Stroller

I bought a jog stroller at a consignment sale this past Spring thinking I could use it this Summer and Fall with two of the boys.

Today they had their first ride. Jack doesn't seem too thrilled about it. Evan looks thrilled.

Here they are before our walk....

and here they are after the ride.

Note:Evan still looks happy...where is my happy Jack?

Of course..I had to stop and take a pic of a pretty purple flower,

a close up of a happy boy, and

a boy with his trike on the open road.

Beautiful Wedding

This was us on our way to the wedding.

We went to a friend's wedding on Sunday evening. WOW! It was beautiful. They had it outside in front of an old country farmhouse. They have been dating for at least 6 years..I'm glad they finally got married. They are a great couple. I know they have one very importnat thing in common-they both have an intense love for Jesus Christ and they love each other. They are two wonderful people.

This is a picture she had in her scrapbook at a table at the wedding. This was her college graduation. I took a picture of the picture because I'm not sure I have a copy of it and I couldn't believe Ryan. Ryan (now almost 5) was 7 months in that picture. That is how old Evan is now.

On a side note: we came back to pick up the kids from my Mom's house at 930pm and lo and behold we lock the keys in the car. 2 hours and $125.00 later we are back home to put the kids to bed to only have them up early to go to VBS. Needless to say..we had some grump-a-lumpikins on Monday morning.

Happy Birthday Jack! (6/21/08)

Jack's favorite color is yellow and the cupcakes are supposed to be little sunshines...I know they look pretty pathetic.

The water table was a hit.

Look at them-how did they get suckered into blowing up Jack's pool?

Look at this silly crew

Another silly crew...hahahha

Block Party

Friday, June 13th....our neighborhood had a party in our court.
They rented a jumpee thing...had sno-cones, cotton candy, popcorn, hamburgers, hotdog...it was a blast!
Ryan and Jack watched them start to set up at around 330 and they kept begging to go down there. The party didn't start till 630. They were chomping at the bit to get down there. When people started to show up around 620...Ryan said..."WE"RE LATE FOR THE PARTY!!!!"

Jack was a little thirsty.

Chad took Jack and Evan home around 9 or so. Ryan and I stayed out with some of the neighbors since we are night owls and I like to talk. Ryan continued to play with some of the neighborhood kids that stayed out late too. Look how big he looks using the scooter and helmet. That isn't his. We haven't even got him a 2 wheeled bike yet. Maybe for his birthday we will move up from a tricyle.
Both Ryan and Jack wanted to know when the next party was going to be.

Now..I think I've caught up our week....except for today-Jack's party.

I'll do that sometime tomorrow. I'm off to bed. It's been a long day and we have a wedding to go to tomorrow.

First Solid Food-June 15th

I thought I would see how he would do. He doesn't get too excited about it out so we'll try again in a few weeks. He loved the spoon though.

Before and After

We contacted a company to give us an estimate on a new patio. They gave us an estimate on Thursday June 12th and by........

(BEFORE)

June 17th they started work and this was the end of day 1.

And of course the boys had to play in the dirt and...

gravel.

These guys were awesome....They finished in a day and a half and they originally said it would take 3 days. We were so surprised that we got an estimate and 6 days later we had a finished patio.

(AFTER)

Of course...we've got to make the finishing touches to it. We are going to put lights in and flowers around the edges. We also hope to change one of those windows into a door so we can walk out from the bedroom.

Our other patio was just a concrete slab that was in an awkard spot...if you notice in the first picture...it is towards the side of the house and you can't see the backyard if you sit there.

We were so excited to have it complete before Jack's party today.

We also just got that patio furniture. We will be looking for an umbrella and pads for the chairs.

We've been in this house for 6 1/2 years and we are finally going to enjoy being in the backyard. We have done so much to it in just 2 months. We created a garden, built a swingset, and a patio.

Chad had drawn up these plans for the patio a few years ago and we have been so busy with life that we haven't done it.....now I'm glad we have. I'm looking forward to cookouts with friends and family on the patio.

Today, we got to enjoy our first cookout on the patio...it was Jack's birthday so I will be posting about that soon.
